Adebayor reveals his secret as Arsenal keep climbing / Mail Online

Science and technology may drive the world of modern sport but Emmanuel Adebayor struck a blow for simplicity when he revealed how his aerial skills were perfected using a ball on a string.

What the Arsenal genius was doing was a form of plyometrics, a simple set of exercises now recognised as extremely beneficial to athletes around the world.

By doing this Adebayor could have increased his leap by up to 12 inches.

Athletes who have utilised plyometric exercises can out-perform others who may be physically stronger.
